Since discovering surgery in medical school, I’ve been driven to excel in the specialty. Decades later, I can’t imagine a more fulfilling way to have spent my career as a physician.

For years I was a busy cardiac surgeon in Dallas. I thrived on the challenges and opportunities I encountered every day. Now at this point in my life, I want to continue to interact with and care for patients while giving more time to my family, too. Joining Southwest Vein Institute has allowed me to accomplish these goals.

Dr. Whiddon has authored numerous scientific papers.
